WHAT YOU GET

Built for the land
it sits on.

Water doesn’t ask permission, and in Lancashire and Cumbria it rarely goes short. A mossland field that floods every February isn’t unlucky — it’s undrained, or drained badly, and no amount of good farming can fix a design fault underground. We survey the fall of the land before we touch a spade, so the system we install actually matches the water it has to move.

✦Field drainage survey & scheme design

✦Pipe drainage, mole drainage & gravel backfill installation

✦Attenuation ponds & sustainable drainage (SuDS)

✦Ditch, watercourse & outfall maintenance

✦Flood risk assessment for agricultural land

We’ve re-drained mossland that hadn’t been touched since the 1960s, and laid new schemes on fellside ground that had never been drained at all. Both start the same way: understanding where the water wants to go, and giving it a cleaner way to get there than across your topsoil.

From mole drainage and gravel-backed pipe schemes on the arable plain to attenuation ponds and upland watercourse maintenance, we design for the storm that actually comes off the fells, not the average one — because it’s the average that never floods your yard.

01

Survey

Walk and level the land, and understand exactly where water sits, moves and pools.

02

Design

Design a scheme sized to the soil and the storm, not a generic pipe spacing.

03

Install & prove

Install to the fall, then prove it works before we leave the field.
